Read about how rejecting candidates works.
Specify reasons for rejecting a candidate
Before you can efficiently set candidates as ‘Rejected’, it’s useful to enter a few possible reasons for rejecting candidates in your settings. You do this as follows:
- Go to ‘Settings’.
- Click on ‘Reasons to not retain’
- You can add a few standard reasons for rejecting candidates here. Then, when you come to reject a candidate later on, you can select from these.
Rejecting a candidate
Go to the candidate you want to reject. You can change a candidate’s status to ‘Rejected’ (the red hand icon) in Jobtoolz.
There are two ways to do this:
1. In the candidate details page itself.
At the very top, on the right, you can click on the hand icon
.
2. In the overview of candidates.
Select the candidate(s) you want to reject -> Actions -> ‘Reject the selected candidates’.
When you do this, you’ll see the popup shown below, where you can select one of the standard reasons and/or include an additional explanation.
