How do I configure a phase as the ‘onboarding phase’?

Learn about how you can choose a phase to be the onboarding phase.

When you click through to the details for a vacancy, you will see the various phases in the hiring pipeline, and the number of candidates for each phase.

To check that your reporting is always correct, it’s important that the ‘Employed’ phase (this is the phase where you place candidates when they are actually hired) is always set to be the ‘onboarding phase’.

NB: For all new vacancies that are created, the ‘Employed’ phase is automatically activated as the onboarding phase.

How can you set or change the onboarding phase yourself?

  • Go to the vacancy you want to edit and click on the pencil icon on the right.
  • The ‘Update vacancy’ window will open. Go to Step 3: hiring pipeline (this shows the various phases that you have configured yourself).
  • Click on the pencil icon next to the phase that you want to set as your onboarding phase. You can now enable ‘enable onboarding process at this stage’ at the bottom of the popup.
This is used to ensure the analytics reports are accurate, as we know how many candidates have actually been hired for each vacancy.
  •  Save the change and close the popup.
