Add a Google Analytics script, Facebook pixel or other script to your job site
You can track visitor traffic on your Jobtoolz job site by adding Google Analytics to the site. There are two options for adding Google Analytics to your job site. Either you can enter your Google Analytics ID directly, or you can use a Google Tag Manager (if you want to add other things as well as Google Analytics).
Adding a Google Analytics ID:
- Go to Settings -> Tracking & cookies
- Enter your ID under ‘Google analytics ID’:
- If you’re not sure where to find your Google Analytics ID, this page will explain!
Do you want to add things besides Google Analytics to your job site?
For example, maybe a Facebook pixel, LinkedIn Insight tag, or a chatbot? In that case, you can add a Google Tag Manager container to your job site. You can think of this literally as a container that you insert into the code for your job site. There are all kinds of scripts you can drop into this container (Google Tag Manager), such as those mentioned in the examples above.
Adding Google Tag Manager to your job site:
You will need to add your GTM in your Jobtoolz settings just once. Then, if you want to add scripts (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, chatbots, etc.) to your job site, you can simply add them to your Tag Manager.
⚠️ NB: To remain GDPR compliant on your job site, you can only run scripts via Tag Manager once the candidate has accepted cookies. Read about how to do this.
To add your Container ID from Google Tag Manager to Jobtoolz:
- Go to Settings -> Tracking -> cookies
- Enter your ID under ‘Google Tag Manager container ID’
All clear? If you’ve never used Tag Manager before, don’t worry! Click here to read about how to set up & install your GTM. That article will also explain how to add scripts to your container.
