Configure your own (sub)domain of your jobsite
Right now the URL of your jobsite is most likely "https://companyname.jobtoolz.be". You can easily personalize this to e.g. jobs.companyname.be. For this you need to do a small configuration in the DNS records of your company. This only takes 5 minutes of your time. 😉
Below you can find the tutorial, which you should forward to your web administrator:
To use your own domain name in the Jobtoolz platform, a configuration change needs to be made in the DNS records of your domain.
A new DNS record type "CNAME" needs to be created. This CNAME record ensures that your domain is automatically redirected to that of Jobtoolz (cname.jobtoolz.com), without a website visitor noticing. This ensures an optimal experience for candidates.
A CNAME record consists of three values:
- Label/Host: The subdomain you want to use for your domain name. For example, if you own the domain example.com, and you want to use jobs.example.com for your work-at-home site, then set "jobs" as the value for this field. If you do not want to use a subdomain, then just leave this field blank.
- Destination/Target: This field provides the correct reference to our platform. Here you enter "cname.jobtoolz.com".
- TTL: This value determines how long the CNAME configuration may be remembered by so-called resolvers, in seconds. Usually the default value suggested by your domain service is sufficient. A good standard is 3600 seconds.
Do you have a unique domain name for your jobsite (Vb. www.werkenbijX.com)? Then you can set the CNAME configuration for this domain on the subdomain 'WWW' with the steps as indicated above.
